Our 2-in-1 show pads were specially developed for western riders who do not want to choose between style and comfort. A regular show blanket looks beautiful in the arena, but quickly slips and often does not lie stable enough. A standard western pad does provide support and comfort, but lacks the style of a handwoven blanket. With the 2-in-1 show pad from ARhorsetack, that is a thing of the past. This pad combines the best of both worlds: a luxurious handwoven show blanket on top and an anatomically shaped pad made of 100% merino wool felt on the bottom. No more loose layers, no more struggling when saddling up, but one western pad that lies perfectly right away – at home and in the show arena.
Every 2-in-1 western show blanket has been developed and designed by ARhorsetack itself and is available only in limited quantities. The show blankets are woven from premium quality wool (Mayatex / Vardhman) with a tight 2-ply weave. This fabric ensures that colors remain vibrant and patterns look sharp, while the blanket retains its shape for years. The top is therefore not only an eye-catcher, but also a durable base for daily use and competitions.
The underside of the pad consists of merino wool felt. This natural material is known for its exceptional properties: it absorbs shocks, distributes pressure points evenly, and breathes better than synthetic alternatives. Finished with a durable soft comfort lining it regulates moisture and temperature, so that your horse's back stays dry and comfortable. Thanks to the soft but firm structure, friction and rubbing are prevented, even during long training sessions or intensive ranch rides.
The anatomical contoured fit and spine clearance ensure that the pad immediately follows the back and provides sufficient space around the spine. This prevents pressure on the spine and guarantees that the saddle lies stable and evenly. The special leg cut contributes to closer contact, so your aids are transmitted more finely and subtly. Important: these 2-in-1 show pads are suitable for both tree saddles and treeless saddles, making them widely applicable for every type of western rider.
Extra durability can be found in the harness leather reinforcements and the reinforced backline. These details make the pad stylish and sturdy, resistant to daily use and long-term strain. With a standard size of 84 cm and a thickness of 1 inch, the pads are ideal for both training, ranch work, and shows.
